10,000 Sheikh Russel Digital labs at educational institutions: Palak

Sheikh Russell Digital Labs (SRDLs) to develop Information Technology (IT) 
and foreign language skills among school students. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) 
was signed between the ICT Division and Young Bangla on October 2, 2016, for arranging training sessions for
more than 2001 digital labs set up in schools and colleges across the country.

Young Bangla is providing support by identifying and entrusting suitable 

volunteers for the roles of coordinators and general members from across

Bangladesh to monitor and maintain the overall activities of these labs until 2018. 

The target is to eventually place at least 224,100 IT-skilled volunteers of 

Young Bangla all over Bangladesh by July 2018. The Young Bangla members, in turn, are expected to be
proficient in IT as well as in foreign languages, leading to a better equipped freelancing and outsourcing 
workforce in the country.
